Trump: Iran’s Nuclear Threat Could Have Devastated Gulf and Europe
President Donald Trump stated that military action was undertaken against Iran’s nuclear programme to protect the Gulf region, including Israel, from the potential threat if Tehran had succeeded in developing a nuclear weapon. During his address, Trump articulated the significance of the confrontation with Iran. We must embark on a journey to the beautiful country of Iran, ensuring that they do not possess a nuclear weapon. He stated, “We stopped them with the B2 bombers.” If we had not taken that action, they would have acquired a nuclear weapon. “Israel, the Middle East, and Europe would have been blown to pieces.” He also asserted that Iran’s military capacity had been significantly degraded, maintaining that the Iranian leadership had been weakened. “And Iran is facing severe devastation.” They possess no naval forces. They lack an air force. They lack anti-aircraft equipment. They possess no radar. “They have no leaders; their leaders are all gone,” Trump said.
Trump stated that negotiations with Iran were not advancing as hoped. “They’re not providing the necessary deal that we require, and we are committed to ensuring this is completed correctly,” he stated. He also emphasized that the United States would not conclude the conflict prematurely. “We’re not going to leave early and have this kind of problem arise in three more years,” Trump stated. Earlier, while addressing reporters on the South Lawn of the White House prior to his departure for Florida, Trump connected the conflict to global energy and security outcomes. “Gasoline’s high, other prices are way down, but gasoline’s high, but when this is over, you’ll have a world without a nuclear weapon with Iran,” he said. “If you allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon, the world would be in great jeopardy.” Therefore, it will not take place. “As soon as the war ends, the gasoline prices will come down.”
Trump voiced his discontent regarding Iran’s recent proposal intended to resolve the ongoing conflict, simultaneously questioning the likelihood of achieving a final agreement.
