Bitcoin Stays Around $78K Amid ETF Outflows Pressuring Crypto
The market has been adjusting to the increased anticipation of interest rate hikes from the Federal Reserve as a result of the Fed Chair’s forceful comments, and cryptocurrencies have largely been hit hard during the past day. Crypto markets are currently experiencing widespread pessimism, which is fuelled in part by the recent spike in crude oil prices and the sudden escalation of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. In the last 24 hours, the liquidation of long holdings in the cryptocurrency market has considerably overtaken that of short positions. The entire amount of money that was liquidated from long holdings was $298 million, while short positions reached $139 million. There were a total of $437 million worth of liquidations in the last day. The total value of all cryptocurrency in circulation has dropped to $2.64 trillion, a decline of 0.54% from its overnight high. While the market value of cryptocurrencies as a whole fell, trade volumes increased by about 98%. Bitcoin controls 60.10 percent of the cryptocurrency market at present valuations. The market share of Ethereum is 11.35%, while the market share of other cryptocurrencies, including stablecoins, is 28.55%. At $78,333.78, down 0.48 percent overnight, the biggest cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, is trading about 38 percent below its all-time high of $126,198.07, set on October 7, 2025. The market leader in cryptocurrency has lost 1.6% of its value in the last seven days. The losses so far this year have reached 24.2%.
Contrasted with net inflows of $242 million on Thursday and $232 million on Wednesday, Bitcoin Spot ETF products in the US saw net withdrawals of $202 million on Friday. The net withdrawals happened after nine straight sessions where net inflows were the norm. The ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF lost $115 million in the last trading session. Among all assets ranked by market capitalisation, Bitcoin maintains its position at number twelve worldwide. The top cryptocurrency is sandwiched between Meta Platforms (ranked thirteenth) and Saudi Aramco (ranked eleventh). Ethereum has fallen from its all-time high of $4,953.73 to a current price of $2,459.71, a decline of 0.63%. In the last seven days, the leading alternative coin has lost 2.4% of its value. Net inflows into Ethereum Spot ETF products in the US fell from $226 million on Thursday to $102 million on Friday. Net inflows of $84 million were the highest for the iShares Ethereum Trust ETF.

Hyperliquid, the ninth-ranked stock, is trading at $81.50, down 2.4% overnight. Five million dollars was poured into U.S.-listed Hyperliquid Spot ETF products on Friday. Having lost 2.9% of its value in overnight trade, Dogecoin is now trading at $0.0829, good for tenth place.
