Bitcoin Holds Steady Before Warsh’s Speech

As market investors eagerly await Fed Chair Kevin Warsh’s remarks at the Jackson Hole economic conference, sentiment in the cryptocurrency market remains cautious. Concerns over the fiscal position and the enormous public debt have led to an increase in longer-term bond yields and sustained PCE-based inflation, both of which are mentioned during the address. Given that the recent news of the U.S. Treasury’s buyback helped lower yields on longer tenor bonds and drove up the price of Bitcoin, the speech is significant. If the Fed Chair’s speech gives any clues about yield curve control, cryptocurrency market observers will be quite intrigued. The significance of the Federal Reserve’s autonomy is further highlighted by the fact that conjecture abounds regarding the extent to which the Fed will cooperate with the Treasury or keep its distance. In the last day, Bitcoin’s price soared to $81,347. There has been a small drop from the previous steadiness in the overall market value of cryptocurrencies.
