Bitcoin Holds Below 65K as Crypto Market Awaits Clarity Act

The continuing global market dynamics are having an impact on cryptocurrency prices, which are trading below the flatline. While hopes for a Strait of Hormuz shipping accord have recently revived, new worries about AI have begun to impact these markets. Bitcoin has retreated after coming dangerously close to breaking the $65k barrier, and the overall crypto market capitalisation has fallen from the previous day’s close. Coinciding with a lacklustre showing on Wall Street, the crypto market capitalisation has fallen, falling below the flatline. S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite have made small gains, but the Dow Jones is falling. Earlier in the day, SK Hynix’s decrease of 10.4 percent and Samsung’s dip of 6.3 percent were the main drivers of a 4.6% decline in South Korea’s KOSPI. Both crude oil benchmarks have risen by more than 1% as the restart of commercial shipping thru the Strait of Hormuz is still in the works. A rise in bond yields and heightened expectations of rate rises were caused by the spike. Cryptos’ potential for future appreciation has been limited by the strength of the US dollar. The probability of a rate hike in September has increased to 56.7%, according to the CME FedWatch tool, which tracks the expectations of interest rate traders. The numbers from the day before were 54.4%. The selling of short positions continued to outstrip the buying of long ones.

Crypto liquidations—the process by which an exchange or lending protocol closes a trader’s leveraged position because there aren’t enough funds (margin or collateral) to cover any losses—totaled $241 million in the previous 24 hours, according to the figures for the last day. The long holdings amount to $106 million and the short positions reach $135 million, as seen in this picture. The future of the Clarity Act, a landmark bill that might change the way the US government handles cryptocurrency regulation, is now the center of attention in the market. The bill’s progress in the legislature has been halted due to the continuing disagreement over an ethics clause. Market transparency, ethical norms, and innovation promotion are all parts of the CLARITY Act’s proposed framework for U.S. cryptocurrency regulation. The attitude indicator for the cryptocurrency market, the CMC Crypto Fear and Greed Index, has maintained a constant value of 39, which is up little from 38 a week ago and unchanged from the previous day.

Bitcoin, the leading cryptocurrency, varied between $64,954 and $64,098 during the course of the nite, while the overall crypto market capitalisation fell 0.2% to $2.2 trillion. Coinciding with a 2% drop in trade volumes, the overall market capitalisation of cryptocurrencies fell. At $64,360.69, the biggest cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, is trading flat. At its present level, it is around 49% behind the all-time high of $126,198.07, set on October 7, 2025. There has been a 26.5% decline in value for the original coin so far this year. After receiving $212 million on Tuesday and $170 million the day before, net inflows to Bitcoin Spot ETF products in the US increased to $244 million on Wednesday. A net of $197 million was received by the iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF. As on companiesmarketcap.com, Bitcoin is once again ranked thirteenth among all assets worldwide in terms of market capitalisation. At the moment, the top cryptocurrency is sandwiched between SpaceX (number twelve) and Tesla (number fourteen).

At $1,904.74, Ethereum is up 1.8% in price. Compared to its all-time high of $4,953.73 set on August 25, 2025, the leading alternative coin is now trading at a level that is 62% lower. Between $1,922.64 and $1,868.14 were the highs and lows of the 24-hour trading. There has been a reduction in Ethereum’s year-to-date losses to 35.8 percent. On Wednesday, net inflows into Ethereum Spot ETF products in the US increased to $61 million, from $53 million the day before. With $50 million in net inflows, the iShares Ethereum Trust ETF topped the list. According to reports, Ethereum climbed two spots to the 90th spot in the worldwide asset hierarchy determined by market capitalisation. 4th ranked BNB saw a 1.1% overnight decline, bringing its price down to $592.05. 57 percent below its all-time high of $1,370.55, hit on October 13, 2025, is where BNB is presently positioned. The sixth-ranked cryptocurrency, XRP, which focuses on payments, fell 1.7% overnight and is now trading at$1.04, more than 73% below its all-time high of $3.84 reached on January 4, 2018.

Solana, which is ranked seven, saw a 0.8% overnight drop in price to $73.17. The all-time high price of SOL was $294.33 on January 19, 2025, and the current price is over 75% below that high. Currently trading at $0.3275, TRON, which ranked 8th overall, fell 0.14 percent overnight. The all-time high price of the cryptocurrency was $0.4407, reached on December 4, 2024, and the current trading price is 26% below that. Nearly 27% lower than its all-time high of $76.85 set on June 16, 9th-ranked Hyperliquid fell 2.4% overnight, trading at $55.83. Among all cryptocurrencies, Memecoin Dogecoin fell 1.4% overnight, selling at $0.0688. DOGE’s current price is 91% below its all-time high of $0.7376, reached on May 8, 2021.
