Democrat release The reported Trump letter to Epstein
US President Donald Trump finds himself once more entangled in the Jeffrey Epstein case. Democrats on the House Oversight Committee unveiled a letter, purportedly written and signed by Trump, that contains sexually suggestive content related to sex offender Epstein. Nevertheless, the White House has refuted claims that Trump authored the letter or produced a drawing of a woman within which the inappropriate note was inscribed. The report was described as “false, malicious, and defamatory”. The letter was said to be included in the album compiled for Epstein’s birthday in 2003.
Members of the House Oversight Committee from the Democratic Party are scrutinizing the management of criminal cases related to the financier. In the course of their investigation, they secured a copy of the birthday album from Epstein’s estate. In a post shared on its X account, the Committee stated, “We got Trump’s birthday note to Jeffrey Epstein that the President said doesn’t exist.” Trump discusses a ‘wonderful secret’ that the two of them shared. The Committee, in a subsequent post, continued its critique of Trump by emphasizing the connections between the two. “NEW PAGE FROM EPSTEIN’S BIRTHDAY BOOK: Epstein and a longtime Mar-a-Lago member joking about selling a ‘fully depreciated’ woman to Donald Trump for $22,500.”
The White House refutes claims regarding Trump’s purported connections to Epstein. The White House maintained its stance, asserting that the letter is not authentic. On Monday, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated, “It’s very clear President Donald Trump did not draw this picture, and he did not sign it,” further noting that Trump’s legal team would continue to pursue litigation aggressively. Trump has previously initiated a $10 billion lawsuit against Journal following its report on the alleged letter. Following the release of the letter, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Taylor Budowich shared images on X showcasing Trump’s signature. He tagged The Wall Street Journal’s parent company, News Corp, and remarked, “Time for @newscorp to open that checkbook; it’s not his signature.” DEFAMATION!
In 2006, Jeffrey Epstein, a wealthy financier, faced charges of sexual offences following reports from the parents of a 14-year-old girl who alleged that he had molested their daughter at his residence in Florida. A report from The New York Times disclosed that Epstein compensated teenage girls for sexual acts and enlisted his former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, to recruit and oversee his group of victims. In the same year, Epstein was indicted, and in 2008, he entered a guilty plea to two felony charges. In 2019, he was arrested following accusations of trafficking young girls and participating in sexual acts with them. He took his own life in a Manhattan jail while awaiting trial.
Reports indicated that Trump and Epstein maintained a friendship for years, frequently encountering one another at high-society gatherings in Florida and New York. An Associated Press report states that Trump’s connections to Epstein have been thoroughly documented. However, the US President expelled Epstein from his private club in Florida after the latter betrayed him on multiple occasions. In August 2025, the Democrats’ Committee issued a subpoena to the Epstein estate for documents. In addition to the birthday book, lawmakers requested his testament, agreements with prosecutors, contact books, and records of financial transactions and holdings.
