Mojtaba Khamenei information might earn US $10 million

The US State Department has declared a reward of up to $10 million for information that leads to Iran’s new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, along with several other high-ranking Iranian officials. The US Department of State announced on Friday its Rewards for Justice Program, which provides financial incentives for information that aids in identifying or bringing to justice individuals suspected of involvement in terrorism against the United States. Under the programme, individuals who provide credible intelligence may qualify for monetary rewards and relocation support. In a social media post, Rewards for Justice called on individuals with information regarding the identified Iranian leaders to step forward, emphasizing that such tips could qualify them for both a reward and relocation assistance.

In addition to Khamenei, the revised list features prominent Iranian officials, including the interior minister and the minister of intelligence and security. In the latest escalation of the conflict, the US conducted strikes on Kharg Island, which serves as Iran’s primary oil export hub in the Persian Gulf. Washington stated that the attacks were aimed at military installations on the island and emphasized that the oil export infrastructure remained undamaged. The development arises in the context of increasing worries regarding possible interruptions to global crude supplies. Trump cautioned that Washington might utilize increased military force against Iran if ongoing instability in the region continues to jeopardize global oil supplies.

Israel has conducted strikes in Beirut, asserting that the operation resulted in the deaths of senior members of the Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah. The attacks signify a significant intensification of hostilities throughout West Asia. Coordinated US-Israeli strikes on Iranian military facilities prompted retaliatory missile and drone attacks throughout the region starting February 28. The confrontation has now entered its second week. Trump has stated that Iran’s government was “about to surrender” as the conflict continues to escalate.

As reported, Trump made the remarks during a virtual meeting with world leaders earlier this week. The discussions reportedly encompassed the outcome of Operation “Epic Fury,” a significant military campaign aimed at Iranian positions. Trump reportedly informed allies that the operation had eliminated what he referred to as “a cancer that was threatening us all.” As the conflict persists, the US president has delivered pointed criticism of Iran’s leadership, referring to them as “deranged scumbags”. In reference to the current military campaign, Trump stated that Washington was taking action to “destroy the terrorist regime of Iran” via military efforts.
