US Oil Firms Pour Billions into Venezuela
On Saturday, President Donald Trump stated that the oil companies in the United States will “spend billions of dollars” to repair the damaged oil infrastructure in Venezuela and “start making money” for the South American nation. Trump stated that the United States was engaged in the “oil selling” business and would supply it to other nations looking to purchase. We operate within the oil industry. We will sell it to them (other countries). We will likely be selling oil in significantly larger quantities due to Venezuela’s inability to produce much, stemming from their severely compromised infrastructure.
We will be exporting significant quantities of oil to various nations, many of which are currently utilizing it. However, I would assert that many more will arrive.” Trump stated that the oil industry in Venezuela has been a “total bust” and will be remedied with billions of dollars in investment from oil companies in the United States to repair the “badly broken oil infrastructure”. He also stated that Venezuela’s inadequate infrastructure had constrained its oil production. It is widely recognized that the oil industry in Venezuela has faced significant challenges, resulting in a prolonged period of decline.
They were producing nearly nothing in comparison to their potential output and the possibilities that could have unfolded. “We’re going to have our very large United States oil companies, the biggest anywhere in the world, go in, spend billions of dollars, fix the badly broken infrastructure, the oil infrastructure, and start making money for the country (Venezuela),” he added. His statement follows the capture of President Nicolas Maduro and his wife during a US military operation. Trump stated that the United States will temporarily oversee Venezuela to guarantee peace, justice, and a secure transition of power.
He stated that American authorities will continue to be present in the country until a proper and stable transition occurs. We will govern the country until we can ensure a safe, proper, and judicious transition. We seek peace, justice, and liberty for the remarkable people of Venezuela. We cannot afford to risk a situation where someone else assumes control of Venezuela without prioritizing the well-being of the Venezuelan people. We will not allow that to occur. We are present at this moment, and we will remain until a proper transition occurs. “We’re going to run it essentially until such time,” he said.
