Who Is The Mysterious Satoshi Nakamoto?

Bitcoin is considered the most popular and valuable cryptocurrency worldwide. It is the first cryptocurrency ever established and is responsible for the whole cryptocurrency sector. Today, millions of people use cryptocurrencies as an investment and trading tool.

Aside from that, this cryptocurrency can also be used for entertainment purposes, specifically in bitcoin casinos, where gamblers can use this to fund their games on various casino sites. Many people believe digital money is the safest gambling type since it gives the player complete control and privacy.

Simply put, bitcoin is a groundbreaking system software that changes the entire financial network. But the real question comes in. Who is the inventor of this amazing digital currency?

Origin of Satoshi Nakamoto

Satoshi Nakamoto is not an actual name of a person but a pseudonym for the person or individuals who assisted in developing the initial bitcoin software.

Nakamoto was involved in developing bitcoin and the blockchain until around 2010 but has not been heard from since. Although many people have been suspected of being Nakamoto, no one has been able to prove it.

Nakamoto was one of many who thought about cryptocurrency. Still, he was the first to resolve a crucial obstacle that precluded its widespread adoption: cryptocurrency could be reproduced, unlike conventional cash. And this was known as “double-spending“, which Nakamoto solved by developing the blockchain verification method.

Suspected Identity of Satoshi Nakamoto

Hal Finney

Hal Finney was a software developer, computer scientist, coder, cryptography enthusiast, and the first known user of Bitcoin. He received his Bitcoin transaction in 2009 from Satoshi Nakamoto himself. Finney was allegedly known as the first person who worked on debugging and improving Bitcoin’s open-source code.

And that sparked suspicions of him being Satoshi Nakamoto. But he denied such claims and presented evidence to prove that he was not Satoshi Nakamoto. And as the evidence was being analyzed, it soon revealed that he was not Nakamoto.

Dorian Nakamoto

Back in 2014, Newsweek magazine revealed that the true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto was Dorian Nakamoto, who was a Japanese-American physicist. The magazine states the similarities between the two Nakamotos, including their Japanese descent, mathematical skills, political leanings, etc.

But Dorian Nakamoto quickly denied his involvement with Bitcoin. He rejected any published quotes as misinterpretation and said the controversy became a huge source of confusion and stress for him and his family.

Nick Szabo

Nick Szabo is a crypto expert that also becomes one of the suspects of Nakamoto. He is also a computer programmer and a cryptographer that created one of the first approaches to a decentralized currency called Bit Gold in the late 1990s.

Although comparisons were made between him and the mysterious Nakamoto and found similarities in preoccupation and his engagement with bitcoin development, he denied the allegations of having this secret identity.

Craig Wright

If other personalities denied these suspicions, Craig Wright, an Australian businessman and computer scientist claimed that he was the man behind Satoshi Nakamoto back in 2016. But, all of his claims were instantly analyzed and rejected by the bitcoin community because of his stories’ inconsistencies.

It shows that it was backdated, both Nakamoto’s public keys and blog entries, making it more suspicious. He first ignores these criticisms, but as the truth uncovers, he eventually backs away from the claim.

The Secret Behind The Creator of Bitcoin Continues

People are naturally curious about who could be the individual/s behind the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto, since he was a key figure in the creation of cryptocurrencies. The ideas of this individual or group have transformed many aspects of modern life. Although Bitcoin may cease to exist, Nakamotos’s blockchain technology and advances will likely survive for a long time.
